Blue hearts birthday card

Hello,
another card made using dies from the Tonic Affections die sets mixed and matched together. This die set is useful for so many occasions, I've used them for Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, birthdays, anniversaries, and engagements. I used an 8 x 8 card blank matted and layered with silver mirror card, blue card and a pearl card layer embossed with the Tonic Rosalyn folder. I cut the Affections hearts in blue and white pearl card and layered them up then mounted them on the card base. I personalised it with the letter E cut using the Tonic Pretoria letter dies, and finished it with a white organza bow and a stamped sentiment coloured in blue and mounted on blue card.

Thank you card in autumnal colours

Hello,
this is a thank you card made in autumnal colours on a 7 x 7 cream card blank. The leaf design backing paper is Tilly Daydream by docrafts, matted and layered on to gold card and then copper card. I used the Tonic Square Sentiment Thank You die, such a flexible collection of dies, to cut the design from the copper card and mounted it on to a base cut from the gold card. I used the Tonic Bellus Buttercup flower die to cut a flower for the middle of the card, with a copper brad in the centre, I used the same brads in the corners of the card. I punched a Tonic butterfly from the leaf paper which I highlighted with gold gilding wax and added it to the bottom corner to finish it off.

Lantern box - with love

Hello there,
this is a tea light lantern box which I've made as one of the items for the 3D unit of the Certificate in Paper Crafting which I'm doing. For the main box I used the Tonic 5 sided Lantern Box die cut from Cracked Ice Embossed card. I cut decorative panels out of the sides using the insert dies from the Tonic Indulgence With love and Butterflies Keepsake dies. I lined the panels with yellow vellum and added gold pearls to the corners, to finish it off I tied it with a gold organza ribbon bow.

Sewing themed birthday card

Hello,
I made this card for my Mum for her birthday. I chose the sewing theme as she'd taught me to sew when I was a child. I used various elements from the Aspire Sew Pretty kit and cut the main topper into a shape using the Spellbinder's Labels 31 die. I finished it off with a bow made from tape measure ribbon and a button. My Mum was surprised when she opened it as it's not my usual style but was very pleased with the sewing theme.

21st birthday shutter card

Hello,
this is a special card made for my niece's 21st birthday. It's a shutter card made using the Tonic Liberty die cut from cream card, which I'd embossed using the Tonic Amelia folder. I used the Tonic Liberty die set to cut decorative panels from cream and gold card. The numbers were cut from cream using the Tonic Baldur die set and mounted on gold ovals cut using the Tonic Art Nouveau layering die set. I cut two sets of letters from cream and gold card using the Tonic Pretoria set so I could inset the cream into the gold letter frame. The Happy Birthday sentiment is a Tattered Lace one.

I also made a box from cream and gold card and used the remaining letters on the box lid.

Pink floral birthday card

Hello,
it's been a long time since I last posted as although I've made a few cards I've been visiting family and also been on holiday. So now it's time to play catch up!

This is a birthday card I made for my mother-in-law using elements from the Hunkydory Floral Enchantment paper collection. I matted and layered pink polka dot paper which matched the elements used from the kit on to silver mirror board, and then the floral and butterfly die cut elements using foam pads to give some dimension. I finished it off with a matching tag, pink organza bow and paper rose. She was very pleased with the card.
