Hello there,
This is the birthday card I made for my sister-in-law, who I know likes fairies.
This card is a mix of items from CD crafting and die cutting. I started with an A5 tent fold card blank on to which I layered a silver mat. The next layer is blue card with a blue vellum layer on top attached with silver brads to make a good colour match. I wrapped these layers with a white ribbon with a silver edge and mounted them on to the card blank.
I created the image with the fairy and unicorn using CraftArtist 2 and the Fantasy Fairies digikit, and highlighted the wings with clear Wink of Stella. I rounded the corners and attached it to a silver mat also with rounded corners which I attached to the card using foam pads.
To finish it off I added some white flowers which I'd highlighted with Wink of Stella to the topper, floral silver stickers, a sentiment and a bow to match the ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by, if you'd like to leave a comment I'd really appreciate it.

Birthday cat
Hello,
this is card made with the Hunkydory Twilight Kingdom Little Book which I made for my niece who likes cats.
I used a 5 x 7 landscape card blank and matted and layered it with black card and some purple card. I mounted the page from the little book on to black card, then put this on the the card front with foam pads. Using the Tonic Miniature Moments die I die cut the birthday wishes sentiment from black card, added some swirls of black gems and and finished it off with the numbers 3 and 0 in silver stickers.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like it, please leave me a comment if you have time.

You rock birthday card
Hello,
Another birthday card using a combination of Tonic dies and a Hunkydory image, this one is from the Little Book of Everything, and was made for my nephew's birthday.
I picked out the brown in the image background and used a 7 x 7 kraft card blank. On to this I matted and layered red card and then cream which co-ordinated with the colours in the image. I layered the image on to the same cream and red card, then put this on the left side on the card front using foam pads.
I used the Tonic Miniature Moments Birthday wishes die and cut it in red and cream card, drop shadowed the red one on to the cream one and placed this on the card front. I also cut three notes from red card using the Tonic Rococo music dies and put them on the front.
Thanks for stopping by please leave a comment if you have time as I'd be really grateful.

Cherish the moment
Hello,
I've made this card for the Win & Tonic Challenge May 2017, which I've not entered for ages and am doing at the real last minute!
I followed these themes: Colour neutrals, Product - any Nuvo product and the Open theme of any occasion.
I used an 8 x 8 cream card base matted and layered with kraft card and pale cream and goldy cream patterned paper from the docrafts Papermania Capsule collection Oyster Blush. I die cut the Cherish the Moment die set from Limetree Crafts' Caramel Twist card and layered on to a paler cream mat from the same Papermania Capsule collection, then put it on the card front using foam pads. I also die cut the butterfly column from the Sew Pretty range in the 2 shades of cream, then drop shadowed one on the other using small foam pads.
I finished it off by adding mother of pearl embellishment mousse to the butterflies, sentiment and to the edges of the die cut topper. I also added a few pearls, I was going to use Nuvo Crystal drops but the bottle was gummed up so I'll need to sort that out!
I hope you like it, please leave a comment if you've got time.

16th birthday card
Hello,
this is a card I made for a friend's daughter for her 16th birthday - a bit of a milestone birthday so I wanted to choose something with some meaningful words.
This was made from the Hunkydory Wishes on Wings kit which has some really pretty images in it and nice verses on tags. As it was a special birthday and I wanted to fit an image and verse on the front I used and 8 x 8 card blank - as I was handing it over no need to worry about postage costs! Having chosen the toppers I used the complementary backing card to cover the front of the card. I used the Tonic Art Nouveau die to cut two mats from Adorable Scorable card I had in my stash to put the topper and verse on to.
To finish it off I chose a matching sentiment, added the number 16 die cut from silver mirri to match the foiling on the toppers and added a double silver bow.

Engagement card and box
Hello,
today I'm sharing an engagement card and box I made from a Hunkydory kit.
I needed something I could make quickly as we went on holiday just after the party invite so had to do something quickly when we got back. This kit was ideal as the instructions were so clear. It came in a pack of three others in the same style but for other occasions.
I made the card, which is in fact a box card with a stand, following the instructions. The outer box was pretty easy too and I decorated it with some silver mirri card, a topper and sentiment from another HD set. I lined the inside of the box with paper from yet another HD kit to finish it off and popped some tissue paper in to hold the card inside.
My friends were really pleased with the card so I shall definitely make up the others in the kit ready for the right occasion.

Easter cross
Hello there,
this was the only religious Easter card I made this year. My non-religious Easter cards are here.
I started with a Pickled Potpourri image of a cross, stained glass window and daffodils, and picked out parts of the image in grey, green and yellow. I'm not a colourist so needed to keep it simple! I used the Tonic Deco Trellis die to cut the image out and then layered this on to a black mat I'd made using the same die cut twice and put on top of each other. The background is grey pearlescent card embossed with a brick embossing folder, and layered on to a black mat.
I made the sentiment using the PC and cut it and the yellow and black mats using a Spellbinders Petite Labels die. Both the topper and sentiment were put on the card using foam pads to add a little dimension.
Thanks for stopping by, any comment you'd like to leave would be really appreciated.

Easter cards
Hello,
I usually make religious cards for Easter but this year I decided to make a couple of non-religious ones. My religious card is here Easter Cross.
I chose images from the Little Book of Everything to match the recipients' interests, birds for my Mom, cats for Mother-in-law and rabbits for an Aunt.
For the bird and cat ones I found some patterned Hunkydory backing card which co-ordinated with the images. For the rabbit one I recycled the green card Tonic pack their dies in! I then used some plain card to mat the image and patterned backing card on to.
I stamped a sentiment, added a bit of colour with my Promarkers and then matted them on to the plain coloured card. I finished them off with a bow in the case of the rabbit and bird one, and an acetate butterfly for the cat one as it had butterflies in the image.
These were quick and easy to make which was what I needed as I had to make them in a hurry!
Thanks for stopping by, if you've time to leave a copy it would be really appreciated.

Sunshine and flowers
Hello,
still not managing to find as much time to craft as I'd like - still decorating and catching up with chores.
This is another card for the Fairy and Unicorn Challenge Blog, which has the theme of the Summer Solstice which is in June. I made it basically using Tonic dies and yellow, gold, green and blue card stock from Tonic, plus Limetree Crafts Poppy red card and Anna Marie Amber Sparkle card. I used the Tonic Sunray Window die to cut in gold and yellow card, then used the yellow as the base which I layered on to blue card for the sky and green for the ground. I then paper pieced using bits from the yellow and gold die cuts. I cut a narrow frame in green and layered it on top then layered it all on to the amber sparkle card.
The centre piece is the middle of the Sunray Window in gold matted on to amber sparkle with and amber sparkle circle in the middle. I added this to the centre using foam pads to give some added dimension.
The white flowers are cut using the different size dies in the Tonic Entwining Trellis Daisy die with a yellow brad in the middle. The red poppies are cut in the same way using the Bellus Buttercup die from the same set with a black brad in the middle. I finished it off with a few flourishes cut from a pale green card using the Frond Finesse die.
I hope you like it, please join us in the Fairy and Unicorn challenge this month.
