Unicorns rock!

Hello and Happy New Year,

It's time for the first challenge of the year over at the Fairy and Unicorn Challenge blog, which as always starts the first Saturday of the month.. As usual it lasts for about a month so I do hope that you'll join us. This month I decided to use a unicorn stamp I've had for a while and not used yet.

The theme as always is Fantasy, however as long as it's Fantasy pretty much anything goes. If you're not sure what we mean by that just check out the guidance in the side bar on the Challenge blog.

Card recipe

8 x 8 white card blank
Black card for mats and for die cuts
AALL and Create Unicorn drummer stamp coloured with Spectum Noir and Promarkers
Polkadoodles Gamer Dude music backing paper
Tonic music dies
Sue Noble Stitch dies
Purple card candi from my stash

I hope you like the card I've made, please leave a comment to let me know what you think if you've got time. I do appreciate them and like to read them.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenge:
Double Trouble Challenge #130 Keep us in stitches

Please also join us over at the
Fairy and Unicorn Challenge this month, we'd love to see you.

Unicorn in the clouds

Hello,
it's been a long time between posts again as I've been dealing with quite a few family issues. Fortunately I've managed to make my design team card for the Fairy and Unicorn challenge for September. The challenge is returning to its original status as a Fantasy challenge, and theme this month is anything goes but it must be a fantasy creation. I decided to use a new die I bought at a recent craft show for it, which is the Joy Crafts Magic Unicorn die.

What I used

White A4 landscape stepper card
White stamping card
Limetree Crafts Peacock Blue card
Pale blue cloud patterned paper which was free with a magazine
Joy Crafts Magic Unicorn die
Sue Wilson Double Pierced Circles dies
Tonic plain circle die
Spectrum Noir markers: IG1, IG2 and IG3; TB1, TB3 and TB5
Blue ribbon and blue and white pearls from my stash

I hope you like my card, please come and join us at the Fairy and Unicorn Challenge this month.

Spring flowers

Hello,
here's my card for the Fairy and Unicorn Challenge for June, the theme is anything goes with the option of the White Witch. This month we're sponsored by the wonderful Ike's Art and I've used the Blossom image. I took it into Craft Artist 2 to produce the background paper which I lightly coloured, and also used it for the main image.

What I've used

8x8 white card blank
Pink card for the mats
Pink organza ribbon
Spectrum Noir alcohol markers: PP1, PP2, LG1
Sue Wilson's Happy Birthday die for the sentiment

I hope you like the card, please leave a comment if you have time.

Please also join us at the Fairy and Unicorn Challenge this month, and thanks to Ike's Art for sponsoring us this month.

Special birthday cards

Hello,
here are three birthday cards and boxes made for friends' birthdays, including a 60th and a 70th.

They follow a similar theme using a Crafter's Companion rose embossing folder, highlighted with gilding wax, vellum, flowers and die cuts: Sizzix/Tim Holtz leaves, Sue Wilson sentiment and Tonic butterflies, names and ages.

The recipients were delighted with the cards and boxes, so I'll probably use a similar design for future special occasions.

Thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment if you've time.
