Birthday wishes card

Hello,
I decided to look at my bit boxes and see what I could make with what was there left over from other cards when I'd embossed or die cut card that I'd not used in the end. I found some pale yellow card which was embossed with butterflies, a couple of butterflies punched using a Tonic punch, and the small centre die cut from the Tonic Decorative Wreath Rings die. I matted and layered the embossed card on to gold paper which matched the butterflies and wreath, then on to the same pale yellow card and finally on to a Kraft card blank. I added the wreath to the card with a Craftwork Cards sentiment in the middle then layered up the butterflies.

I'm quite pleased with the end result so I'm going to see what else I can make from my left over bits and bobs. If you'd like to leave a comment and let me know what you think that would be great.

Cricketing bear

Hello there,
Another male card to make but as this friend is cricket mad I decided to use that as the theme. I went to one of my "go to" birthday dies - the Tonic Happy Birthday Sentiment Die set for the happy birthday but combined it with the Thinking of You die set outer frame. I used a 6 x 6 kraft card base, cut the outer frame in cream card and the happy birthday frame in green card chosen the match the topper. This was a character from the Forever Friends Retro Collection Male CD.

The Tonic series of Sentiment Dies are so handy for making a quick card, I use them a lot. I hope you like the card, any comments are greatly received.

Someone special card

For this card I started with a cream A5 landscape card blank and decided to use a paper pad I bought a couple of years ago but hadn't used as I like it so much - as you do. I chose 2 co-coordinating sheets and cut 2 panels which I layered on to Kraft card, then layered the small panel on to the left side of the large one and put them on the card blank. I used the Tonic Swirly Frame die to cut a mat from Kraft card and then the detail of the same die from cream card and layered them up. I cut the Someone Special sentiment from Kraft card using the Tonic Art Nouveau die set and glued it to the middle of the frame, added gold pearls and put it in the middle of the card. To finish it off I punched a butterfly and a heart from the patterned paper, glued them to the card and added a gold pearl to both of them.

The layout was from a Die Cuttin' Divas sketch challenge back in June which I'd planned to enter but ordinary life got in the way of my crafting so didn't get time to make a card! I normally do square cards so I collect A5 sketches for inspiration as I find them harder, and thought this would be really versatile for many occasions. Not sure yet who I'll send this card to but hopefully the person who receives the card will like it, I hope you do too. If you'd like to leave a comment that would be great.
