Black, white and yellow musical birthday card

Hello,
This is a card I've made for the July Win and Tonic challenge: black, white plus another colour. I made it using the dies I won from the Facebook Group Tonic Live Chat event where this card was demonstrated, really made up about that!

I used the Deco Trellis to make the card blank and then the Tonic Rococo Perfect Harmony, Musical Notes and Treble Clef dies and the Miniature Moments Birthday Wishes sentiment die.

For the inside I used the Miniature Moments Celebrate sentiment die on mats cut using the Trellis Layering die set - which I'd bought because I liked the Deco Trellis so much!

Thanks for stopping by.

Exploding box

Hello there,
this is the last 3D item I made for my Certificate in Paper Crafting course, and was my first attempt at an exploding box.

I used quite a few Tonic products such as the layering dies to cut the squares, the On Mother's Day insert from the Affections die set, the Pretoria alphabet die set and the butterfly from the Fae Trellis topper die set.

I made the flowers using the Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur die and stamp set with Cosmic Shimmer Gold Sparkle embossing powder.

I added family photos as it was a present for my Mom on Mother's Day who loved it. Hope you like it too.

Thanks for stopping by.

Floral box

Hello there,
this is a 3D item I made for my Certificate in Paper Crafting course. It started off as a pop up card but I ended up putting a base on it to make it more stable, I might have overdone the flowers I put in it!

I used mainly Tonic products including the Amelia embossing folder on the blue background card, panels from the Pavilion shutter card, Bellus Buttercup, Radient Rose Lily, Delicate Daisy, Sweeping Pampas and Frond Finesse for the floral arrangement.I finished it off with an acetate butterfly from Hunkydory. It took a while to make as it was the first time I'd made one but I was pleased with the end result.

I hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.

Anniversary card for Mum and Dad

Hello,
this is the card I made for a friend to give to her Mum and Dad on their anniversary. She asked me when she saw the card I'd made for my husband's anniversary.

I used a screen card blank, and papers from Docrafts Papermania Wild Rose Capsule Collection. The two sentiments are from the Tonic Miniature Moments set, and the letters are the inside cuts from the Pretoria set. The side panels are decorated with the Tonic Tangled Posies, highlighted with Glamour Dust and a few small "diamond" gems.

You can't see the back of the side panels but I used Kanban's rose embossed white card, dusted it with Victorian Velvet distress ink and then punched butterflies from the backing paper to decorate them. I printed a free verse from the internet, matted it on to the backing paper and put it on the back centre panel. My friend was really pleased with it and fortunately so were her parents!

I hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.

New home card

Hello,
I've made this card for my niece who has moved into a new home. I'm also entering it into the July Win & Tonic challenge: Black, White plus another - in this case red, which is one of my favourite colour combinations.

I used the Bowscale Layering die set to create the card blank and also the black, white and red mats and layers, this was the first time I'd used the die set. I used the Sew Pretty Home Sweet Home set layered on to the Art Nouveau oval, then these were layered on to mats and layers created using the Cherish the Moment die set. I then finished it off with a few red gems.

I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

Husband's anniversary card

Hello,
this is the card I made for my husband on our recent anniversary. I'm also using it to enter the June Win & Tonic challenge - the male card theme.

I used a screen card blank, and I'd not used this kind of card before but I wanted to use up some scraps of paper which fitted really well. The two sentiments are from the Miniature Moments set, and the letters are the inside cuts from the Pretoria set.

The side panels are decorated with the Tangled Posies. You can't see the back of the side panels but I embossed white card using the Amelia folder, dusted it with Tumbled Glass distress ink and then punched butterflies from the backing paper to decorate them.

I hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.

Brother's musical birthday card

Hello,
I made this card for the June Win & Tonic challenge - the male card theme, as I needed to make a card for my brother's birthday.

My brother is really into his music so I used the guitar, treble clef and the perfect harmony dies and downloaded some free music paper from the internet to use as a background paper. I cut the guitar in 3 colours and did a bit of paper piecing on it. The sentiment is from the Miniature Moments collection cut in red with a grey drop shadow to match the guitar.

I cut a couple of inches off the front of the card to create a bit of interest and decorated the right side of the inside of the card.

Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.

Blue fairy birthday

Hello,
this is the card I'm using to enter the Tonic Win & Tonic competition, I made it for my sister-in-law's birthday. She likes fairies and one of her favourite colours is blue.

I used the Tonic Moonglade Wish fairy die cut in a silvery white embossed card and mounted on to dark blue card, then cut the fairy again in pale blue and mounted it over the fairy in the large die cut.

I also cut an extra set of wings in vellum and decorated the wings with Nuvo Pure Sheen diamond glitter. The side panels are decorated using the Dotty Lace punch, and the inside with the Star trail die, although you can't see that.

The sentiment is from the Miniature moments die set cut in the silver with a dark blue drop shadow.

I finished it off using some pearls as decoration.
