Magical unicorn

Hello there,

Welcome to another Challenge over at the Fairy and Unicorn Challenge blog, which as always starts the first Saturday of the month. As usual it lasts for about a month, and I do hope that you'll join us. This month I decided to use the Unicorn Magic kit by Anne Constantly-Carding, available from craftsUprint

It's a very pretty and flexible kit, and comes with backing paper, an insert, various sentiments, and images to create decoupage. As I'm rubbish at fussy cutting I just used the flat image, die cut it and mat and layered it.

The theme of the Challenge, as always, is Fantasy, however as long as it's Fantasy pretty much anything goes. If you're not sure what we mean by that just check out the guidance in the Challenge Rules, and in the side bar on the Challenge blog.

Card recipe

8 x 8 white card blank
Tonic Essentials Card in light and dark teal
John Next Door dies: Oval Layering dies, Plain and Stitch Dot, Blossom flower die, Leafy sprigs and Magical sentiment
Pearls and teal ribbon from my stash

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

I hope you like the card I've made, please leave a comment to let me know what you think if you've got time. I do appreciate them and like to read them.

Please also join us over at the
Fairy and Unicorn Challenge this month, we'd love to see you.

Cool cat!

Hello fellow crafters,

It's time for a new Pearly Sparkles challenge which, as always, starts on the 1st of the month, over at the Pearly Sparkles Challenge Blog. Our theme this month is Spots and/or Stripes. I decided make a card using this fabric square with a spotty cat for my sister-in-law who is cat mad .. like many of my friends. My friend gave me the fabric square, so I'm not sure of the brand.

I do hope you'll join us over at the Pearly Sparkles Challenge Blog this month and share your makes with us.

Card recipe

7 x 7 white card blank
Terracotta card for the mats and frame
White card
Fabric Square cat picture
Dotty embossing folder, I think a Tattered Lace one, dusted with Craft Artist Mica Magic to enhance the embossing
Press Cut Square Nesting dies for the mat and the frame
Happy birthday sentiment from my stash, possibly Creative Expressions.

I hope you like the card I've made, please leave a comment to let me know what you think if you've got time. I do appreciate them and like to read them.
