I love cats

Hello and welcome to my blog.

This is the other card mentioned in my Garden cats post which was my DT card  for A Perfect Time to Craft Open Challenge June. I used the CraftsUprint Garden cats mini kit on a 6x6 cream card blank. I've lots of friends and family who are cat lovers, so I think I'll be using this kit quite a bit.

The challenges start on the 1st of the month and are always anything goes. You can find out more at  A Perfect Time to Craft Challenge Open Challenge Blog if you'd like to join in.

I hope you like my card. If you've got time it would be great if you could leave me a comment to let me know what you think of it. I would really appreciate it.

Summer holidays

Hello and welcome,

This is my DT card for the Pearly Sparkles Challenge #122 August over at the Pearly Sparkles Challenge Blog. Our theme this month is Summer Holidays, given the weather back in May and June it was like summer then. The main focus of my card is  a CraftsUprint mini kit called Beachfront Vistas, which includes 6 different views, sentiments etc.

I also used a 7x7 white card blank; Blue and White Linen cardstock; Maximum Crafts 7x7 Easy Frame die set; a sentiment stamp from my stash

I hope you like the card I've made. If you've got time it would be great if you could leave me a comment to let me know what you think of it. I would really appreciate it.

Garden cats

Hello and welcome,

These are my August Design Team cards for the A Perfect Time to Craft Open Challenge Blog #8 August. Challenges start on the 1st of the month and are always anything goes. You can find out more at  A Perfect Time to Craft Challenge Open Challenge Blog.

One of our sponsors this month is CraftsUprint and I've chosen the Garden cats mini kit. I've lots of friends, and family who are cat lovers, so this will be very handy. I've made one card with one of the cat layers and the other card is the background which I thought was very pretty too.

I also used 6x6 card blanks, and some gold mirri on the layered cat card.

I made a third card using the same kit, which you can find at I love cats

I hope you like the cards I've made. If you've got time it would be great if you could leave me a comment to let me know what you think of it. I would really appreciate it.

Floral unicorn

Hello,

Welcome to another Challenge over at the Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenge Blog.  As always it starts the first Saturday of the month, and as usual it lasts for about a month. I do hope that you'll join us.

The theme of the Challenge, as always, is Fantasy, however as long as it's Fantasy pretty much anything goes. If you're not sure what we mean by that just check out the guidance in the Challenge Rules, and in the side bar on the Challenge blog. We also have a monthly optional theme now, this month it's Griffin. However I've made a unicorn card as I was very keen to use a new unicorn die that my friend had given me.

Card recipe

7 x 7 white card blank
Tonic Craft Perfect purple and lilac card
Rainbow Unicorns paper by Anne Constantly-Carding from craftsUprint
Crafter's Companion Silhouette Unicorn die
Maximumcrafts Focal Frames1 6 x 6 die set
Craft Artist Mica Magic Basic Brights to colour the unicorn

I hope you like the card I've made, please leave a comment to let me know what you think if you've got time. I do appreciate them and like to read them.

With the rename and relaunch of the Challenge Blog last month there are a few changes in what we mean by Fantasy so it might be worth checking it out.

We also now have optional monthly themes and this month it's Unicorns, so I decided to use the Unicorn Magic kit by Anne Constantly-Carding, available from craftsUprintIt's a very pretty and flexible kit, and I've used it a few times now, picking one of the colours to use as the focus. It comes with backing paper, an insert, various sentiments, and images to create decoupage. As I'm rubbish at fussy cutting I just used the flat image, die cut it and mat and layered it.

Card recipe

8 x 8 white card blank
Tonic Essentials Card in pink and green
John Next Door dies: Square and Oval Plain and Stitch Dot Layering dies, Blossom flower die and Leafy sprigs die
Happy Birthday sentiment die from my stash
Pearls  from my stash

I hope you like the card I've made, please leave a comment to let me know what you think if you've got time. I do appreciate them and like to read them.
