Pearly Sparkles Challenge #116 Hearts

Hello and welcome to my blog.

It's time for a new challenge over at the Pearly Sparkles Challenge Blog. Our theme this month is to use Hearts. This is a card I made for a Golden Wedding Anniversary. I used a very old die from the Tonic Affections die set. It's a large with lots of dies and I've used it a lot.  I also created a box for the card using the same products.

I also used the following:

Cardstock: Ivory textured, Gold pearlescent, Heart backing paper from a magazine
Dies: Maximum Crafts 8x8 Easy Frame, John Next Door Sunflower leaves, Tattered Lace numbers and sentiment, Tonic Clarice letters
Two Jays Congratulations stamp
Ribbon from my stash

I hope you like the card and box I've made. If you've got time it would be great if you could leave me a comment to let me know what you think of it. I would really appreciate it.

I'd like to enter this card for the following challenges:

Why not join us at the
Pearly Sparkles Challenge Blog this month?
We'd love to see your makes.

  2. You entered this beautiful card to the Die Cut Divas challenge to use red and/or pink. Since we are not listed on your blog, I think you just connected with the wrong blog since the card does not fit the challenge. Such an elegant card. Arlene with Die Cut Divas.

    1. Thanks Arlene, yes I realised after I'd entered that it was the wrong card 🤦‍♀️ I left a comment on your challenge blog saying this and asking you to delete it. I'd tried but couldn't do it 🤷‍♀️

  3. Your golden anniversary design is beautifully considered. The layered Affections die creates such an elegant focal point, and the ivory and gold palette gives the whole piece a timeless, celebratory feel. The coordinating box really elevates the presentation, especially with the way you carried the heart motif through both pieces. All the additional die cuts and textures work together without overwhelming the central design, and the finished set has a lovely sense of occasion.
